Advocacy for Children in Court
ADVOCATE FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF CHILDREN WHO ARE BEFORE THE COURT AS A RESULT OF ABUSE OR NEGLECT. WE HAVE SUCESSFULLY FINISHED OUR 1ST YEAR ON OUR OWN AS A 501C3. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS HELPED ESTABLISH THREE ESSENTIAL DUTIES - FINANCE FUNDRAISING AND POLICY AND PROCEDURES. WE HAVE RECENTLY SET UP A FUNDRAISING EVENT COMMITTEE AND ARE HOPING THIS WILL BRING IN INDIVIDUAL DONORS. Introduced a new mentoring and support initiative tailored for low risk youth on probation or transitioning out of the juvenile justice system in Gage County. Served over 100 families-with none of the children who completed their cases returning to the court system-demonstrating sustained impact through consistent volunteer advocacy.
