  • Adaptive Riding Program

    The year 2022 was an organizational year for Free Wheelin Foundation. With the unusual grant and other donations made to Free Wheelin, we were able to purchase equipment and retrofit it for the safety of our clients. A truck, trailer, and motorcycle with a sidecar attached were purchased. The sidecar was retrofitted with a custom seat and harnesses to safely transport an individual with disabilities. With the truck and trailer we are able to go to our clients, if they are not able to come to us. We also upgraded our facility to meet rider, and parent/guardian comforts if they choose to come to Free Wheelin. We are able to livestream our rides while parents/guardians can view the ride on a big screen at Free Wheelin. Client participation was limited due to safety timelines. Test rides were given to board members, family, and Free Wheelin volunteers. The year 2023 client participation is expected to increase substantially. Future fundraising opportunity events are being planned for the up coming riding season.
