General Mission-Related Initiatives
Nothing for this year. We incorporated in April 2022 and first received funding in September 2022. All activity during 2022 was preparatory for future years. We received no funding at all in 2023 and we had to postpone intended programming due to schedule issues and health issues. Therefore, FY 2023 became essentially an idle, preparatory year as we planned for inaugural programming in 2024 (which happened, as did additional funding and expenditures, and all of this will be reported in our 2024 taxes).GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$0Program 1 [2025]
In 2025, HorseChart Theatre Company successfully co-produced a critically acclaimed naturalistic play focusing on the complexities of aging and late-life relationships. We partnered with another local non-profit theatre, bolstering our mission of serving the community while simultaneously strengthening creative relationships that serve that community. The production achieved a 95% capacity attendance rate over its full run. To ensure accessibility for the demographic reflected on stage, the organization donated over 120 tickets to local seniors' groups and residential care facilities, and provided approximately 200 tickets at reduced prices. The project included a residency with the playwright, featuring four public "talkback" sessions to engage the community in the creative process. The production received several major local theatre awards - including Best Production, Best Ensemble, Best Direction, Best Script, and Best Leading Actor in 2025 - furthering the company's burgeoning reputation for excellence in contemporary drama. We also solidified ties with additional area non-profits and are already speaking with other orgs about beneficial partnerships in the near future.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2025 – Dec 31, 2025Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$0
