  • Workforce Development Services

    Business to Business and Project Hire is a free service to all business in Thurston County. It is a partnership with our regions workforce board and the State of Washingtons workforce system. The purpose is to assist local businesses in locating qualified, prescreened employees. The program is funded by the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Consortium who partners with Wa. State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and contracts with the Chamber to operate these programs.

    The Thurston County Chamber's workforce solutions team serves any business within the five-county region that needs help hiring quality employees, improving their hiring practices, retaining quality employees and developing training programs. In some cases, we will assist businesses who need assistance laying off employees. We always begin with what we call a "Business needs assessment". When we meet, we will assess what the business needs are and will develop customized solutions to meet those needs. benefits 4,000 people.
