Transitional Housing and Community Support
New Way Ministries offers a transitional housing program to women and their children facing homelessness. Our program is focused on trauma recovery and building new healthy foundational perspectives and skills for lasting stability for our residents after leaving our program. The primary program can last up to two years with an optional graduate program for an additional one to two years. During 2024 we served 26 mothers and 35 children. Project Hope Food Bank provides food to those in need living within the Lynden School District. We are open three times per week and serve an average of 200-250 households per week or 650-750 individuals. Most of our customers make visits once per week during the year. For the calendar year 2024 we had 9,986 points of service (one point of service = one houshold visit to the food bank in which that household completed a menu order form and is then given the items requested). Project Hope Community Assistance provides financial aid in the form of utility payment help, gas vouchers, laundry vouchers, second-hand store vouchers for needed household items, and occasionally partial rent payment help to those experiencing financial hardship in our community. We strive to offer a hand of assistance and counsel to encourage individuals as they continue working to improve their situation. During 2024, we served 181 individuals with financial aid assistance.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.6M
