ABOUT HABITAT: WE ARE A NONPROFIT, ECUMENICAL CHRISTIAN MINISTRY THAT BUILDS WITH PEOPLE IN NEED REGARDLESS OF RACE OR RELIGION. WE WELCOME VOLUNTEERS AND SUPPORTERS FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS. WE ARE ONE OF APPROXIMIMATELY 1,200 LOCAL AFFILIATES IN THE UNITED STATES AND MORE THAN 70 NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AROUND THE WORLD. TOGETHER, WE HAVE HELPED OVER 10 MILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS SINCE THE HABITAT INTERNATIONAL FOUNDING IN 1976. LOCALLY, WE STARTED IN 2000 AND HAVE HELPED DOZENS OF FAMILIES THROUGH OUR REPAIR WORK AND THROUGH OUR FINANCIAL AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS.
