Student Empowerment and Support Program
School-based site coordinators empower students to stay in school through individualized access to needed resources, and ongoing encouragement and guidance to build confidence to reach their potential and achieve their dreams. Communities In Schools of Tacoma provides students at each school site with 3 tiers of support. The level of services provided to students is based on the Early Warning Indicators to support students. We provided support to over 150 students during the 2021-2022 academic year. Despite the challenges students continue to face with the COVID-19 pandemic and other life circumstances, 95% were promoted to the next grade, 93% improved their attendance, 96% improved their coursework, and 100% met their behavior goals and improved their social-emotional learning by the end of the 2022 school year.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2021 – Jun 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$463.9KEarly Childhood Literacy Program
