  • Greater Owensboro Leadership Institute

    The Greater Owensboro Leadership Institute, in partnership with The Harwood Institute and local organizations, engaged residents and community leaders throughout Greater Owensboro Daviess County to strengthen civic capacity and leadership. Efforts included more than 50 community conversations and public knowledge-sharing sessions facilitated by trained residents. The Institute also hosted multiple public presentations, roundtable discussions, and training sessions featuring Rich Harwood, reaching hundreds of residents and local leaders.

  • Building a Better Owensboro Initiative

    In Summer 2024, the Institute released Building a Better Owensboro A New Path Forward for Owensboro Daviess County, a public report designed to share key insights and inspire collective action. Following the reports release, four community action teams were formed focusing on arts, health, housing and homelessness, and youth. Additional programming to support the findings in this report include workships, community leadership and conversation trainings, webinars, and orientation sessions on the Harwood Turning Outward approach.
