Recurring Educational Programs
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS:Our recurring programs are the heartbeat of the organization. These currently include a monthly Figure Drawing Session hosted by an illustrator, Collage Night hosted by a crafter, Literary Open Mic hosted by a poet, Lavender Lens Film Screening curated by an emerging filmmaker, and a Painting Class led by a mid-career artist. In addition to our recurring programs, we have at least 1 additional special program each month. In 2024, we launched dedicated youth programs, including a monthly Kids N Crafts series designed for children ages 4-10 years old led by an artist with a background in early childhood special education.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$17.5KExhibitions And Curatorial Projects
EXHIBITIONS AND CURATORIAL PROJECTS:In 2024, we presented 29 exhibitions and curatorial projects ranging from unjuried community BYO Art Shows to curated fine art exhibitions co-presented by institutional partners. We highlighted creators from all career levels through visual art, multidisciplinary installations, performance-based work, and thematic shows that address social issues relevant to our community. We also collaborate with guest curators to bring new perspectives and voices into our space.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$17.5KDigital Resources For Artists
DIGITAL RESOURCES FOR ARTISTS:The Bakerys administrative team is proud to maintain several resources on our website including an Artist Directory (with 350+ folks and counting), an Artists Opportunities Page (we shared over 300 opportunities in 2024), a weekly event listing (highlighting over 468 regional, mission-aligned events), a new Arts and Culture Map (for locals and tourists alike), and our blog called AltGaze (platform for local writers). We started the weekly event listing in 2021, the blog in 2022, and launched the remaining resources in 2023. In 2024, we received a grant from Fulton County in support of these resources.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$5K
