    Global Level: Finley's Green Leap Forward carried on Finley Broaddus' environmental legacy by awarding 5 grants this year to organizations combating climate change through community-led projects, conservation of biodiversity and carbon sinks, and tree planting initiatives. Grants of $16,000 each were awarded to Rainforest Trust, Reserva: The Youth Land Trust, Eden Reforestation Projects, Cool Earth Action USA, and The Cacapon Institute.

  • Annual Charity 5K for Environmental Awareness

    Local Level: We were the beneficiaries of a local charity 5K race held annually in memory of Finley Broaddus. This event educates attendees about the importance of taking environmental action and amplifies information about climate change to an audience that falls outside of the environmental echo chamber. Participants are reminded of Finley's story and given information on how each of us can follow Finley's example by contributing to a cleaner and greener planet.
