    Charitable gifts to Silverton Health Foundation support the programs and services of Legacy Silverton Medical Center, many of which are not supported by traditional means of reimbursement.Legacy Silverton Medical Center has served Silverton and the mid-Willamette Valley for more than 100 years. Among the hospitals comprehensive services are:* Emergency and Intensive care; level 3 trauma certification* Family Birth Center* Orthopedic Services, including total joint replacements* Occupational health workplace programs* Foot care clinics in Woodburn and Silverton * Anticoagulation help, wound care and infusion therapy at STEPS Clinics in Silverton and WoodburnIn fiscal year 2022, philanthropic contributions supported programs in these major areas:Patient Care $326,847Education and Training $14,506Community Benefit and Other Programs $9,486Some of the projects funded in this year included: Provided funding to support the hospitals COVID-19 preparedness and response. Provided emergency medications, durable medical equipment, and other health-related supplies to uninsured, under-insured, and low-income patients. Funded renovation of patient rooms in the family birth center. Purchased an exam table for the Womens Health clinic in Silverton. Purchased a bladder scanner, handheld ultrasound and other equipment for the family birth center. Supported the school nurse program for the Silver Falls School District. Provided continuing education scholarships for nurses.
