Program 1 [2020]
Stop Pet Overpopulation Today (SPOT) is an all-volunteer non-profit with no salaries or rent and very minimal overhead. SPOT's spay/neuter voucher program is promoted through partnerships with local social service organizations and media, websites, social media, community postings and word of mouth. We refer clients to a local low cost spay/neuter clinic that helps us use every dollar wisely.SPOT provides spay/neuter vouchers for all breeds and mixes of dogs belonging to qualified low/no income residents in our communities who would not otherwise be able to afford this important procedure for their pet's health and welfare. In a typical year, more than 500 dogs are served by SPOT.SPOT does sponsor a special target project to fix pit bulls and pit bull mixes for a very low client copay of $10, as they comprise by far the largest population of abandoned, sheltered and euthanized dogs locally and nationwide. In a typical year, more than 200 pit bulls are spayed or neutered through our organization.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided––SPOT Spay/Neuter Voucher Program
