Animal Rescue and Placement Program
Indigo Rescue operates programs to discourage the surrender of companion animals to shelters and increase the likelihood of permanent placement. Efforts include partnering with county animal shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by taking animals who do not meet shelter criteria for adoption and are otherwise facing euthanasia. This includes neglected, abused, senior, injured, disabled, and unsocialized animals. Placement efforts are on making compatible matches to ensure a better likelihood of lifetime commitments to pets. The organization also offers consultation, resources and support to individuals from within the community who are making an effort to help abandoned animals find loving homes. We also provide sanctuary to abused, neglected and abandoned farm animals at our ranch property.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$165.2KProgram 1 [2025]
INDIGO RESCUE'S PROGRAM FOCUSES ON SAVING ANIMALS THAT THE CURRENT ANIMAL WELFARE SYSTEM IS NOT STRUCTURED TO SUPPORT. OUR EFFORTS INCLUDE PARTNERING WITH COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTERS TO REDUCE EUTHANASIA RATES BY ACCEPTING ANIMALS WHO DO NOT MEET STANDARD ADOPTION CRITERIA AND WOULD OTHERWISE FACE EUTHANASIA. THESE ANIMALS INCLUDE THOSE WHO ARE NEGLECTED, ABUSED, SENIOR, INJURED, DISABLED, OR UNSOCIALIZED.WE PLACE PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON INDIVIDUALIZED, CAREFULLY CULTIVATED ADOPTION MATCHES BASED ON EACH ANIMAL'S UNIQUE NEEDS TO INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF LIFELONG PLACEMENT COMMITMENTS. THIS INCLUDES THE PLACEMENT OF HOSPICE ANIMALS.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2025 – Dec 31, 2025Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$189.1K
