Program 1 [2024]
As the backbone agency for the community-led 100 Families Initiative, we specialize in providing comprehensive support services, including assistance with obtaining safe and stable housing, and addressing other areas of crisis such as employment, health, and education. By addressing root causes of crises and providing comprehensive support, the initiative positively affects the entire family. Children benefit from improved home stability, while parents gain the tools and resources needed to provide better care and support for their families. The goal of "crisis to career" is achieved once stability is maintained in the key areas and the client obtains a career that offers a living wage, enabling them to thrive independently and remain self-sufficient. Families cannot focus on long-term goals like employment when they are struggling with immediate crises. By addressing foundational needs first while equipping families with the skills, resources, and support needed to achieve stability, the initiative helps prevent future crises, reducing the likelihood of recurring issues. The initiative is allowing families the opportunity to create lasting change and break the cycles of poverty and instability. The 100 Families Initiative has positioned itself as the standard of holistic support in Bowie and Miller counties, over the past three years. It is supported through partnerships with over 100 community partners. By harnessing the power of existing community resources, we have eliminated the duplication of services while facilitating access to community resources for clients in crisis through guided pathways built across sectors.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$248K
