  • Ovarian Cancer Awareness Walks & Talks

    Ovarian Cancer Awareness Walks & Talks: Tennessee in Teal hosted two walks in 2024 in Loudon and Blount County. These walks provided awareness, education, and public outreach to 141 participants. Informational cards were handed out for participants and for participants to hand out to other people. Tennessee in Teal spoke at five events including two college sororities, college students studying to be doctors and two ladies' luncheons. Informational cards were given to 364 people. We produced 2,500 informational brochures to be handed out.

  • Ovarian Cancer Care Bags Program

    Survivors and Patient Needs: Tennessee in Teal produced care bags containing information and helpful content. These care bags are for patients currently going through chemotherapy treatments. Twelve bags were mailed to ovarian cancer patients throughout the state of Tennessee. We spoke to 57 current survivors in person.

  • Ovarian Cancer Awareness Through Social Media

    Social Media: Through a newly developed website we are now in a queue if survivors or patients need assistance. We have updates monthly to the website and have more recently added a Facebook page, Facebook group and Instagram account. Information is posted about ovarian cancer on these social media platforms to bring awareness, education and public outreach to this deadly cancer which continues to increase in followers. Current have over 500 followers.
