  • Makers Fair Community Event

    Makers Fair - This is an annual event in which students and community members set up tables and sell handmade items. The PTA organizes the event and manages the sales. We collect all the money and then write checks to each "maker" for their proceeds. The expenses for this event are almost entirely paying the makers their share of the proceeds, plus a very small amount for flyers, supplies, etc. Hundreds of people attend this fun and festive community event.

  • Kermes Community Festival

    Kermes - This is an annual spring festival for the entire community, with musical performances, food trucks, face painting, balloons, bounce house, and pinata making. The expenses are paying for all of these activities. Hundreds of people attend this event every year.

  • Sound System Fundraising Initiative

    In the school year 2024/2025, the PTA worked with the school and the community to raise money for a new sound system for the gymnasium. School and PTA events use this space and the previous system was not sufficient for our needs. The new sound system benefits the 500 students at Scott whenever there is an assembly or event, and benefits the larger community when we hold meetings, workshops, or concerts.
