To operate the local chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity Alpha Beta Chapter at the University of California Berkeley, a college social fraternity. The fraternity promotes the social, intellectual and moral development of university men both members and pledges of the fraternity to continue among graduate members a close friendship and loyalty and are inspired by mutual aid and understanding. The fraternity supports the education of members, assists members in time of need and supports selected humanitarian activities, including our annual Derby Days. We hold weekly chapter meetings and twice annually we hold new member recruitment to expose our fraternity to potential new members.
