The Society helps students of the Scottish background who are from Northern California and are in their last two years of college or are in graduate study. In terms of culture promotion, encouragement in tangible form is given to bagpipe bands, Highland dance groups and Celtic music study. The Society joins together persons of Scottish birth and heritage. Member meetings are held the third Monday of the month In terms of culture promotion, encouragement in tangible form is given to bagpipe bands, Highland dance groups and Celtic music study. The Society hosts an annual banquet and ball where Scottish delicacies are served, and Highland dancers, pipers and world class fiddlers perform. The Society also gets together to celebrate Hogmanay, the changing of the year.
