School Programs - This program includes the acclaimed Storybridge literacy program serving low income elementary schools; elder storytellers and teaching artists introduce children to storytelling, oral history, story creation, writing based on interviews with family elders, and performances of stories before audiences of peers and families; storytelling assembly programs featuring elder storytellers and master storytellers from the Bay Area. Public Performance Program - Stagebridge creates and produces new plays for young and adult audiences. For youth and families, we offer a "Grandparent's Tales" production, based on literature exploring inter-generational themes, performed by Stagebridge actors and youth recruited from the community and presented for family audiences in Oakland and Redwood City.
