Youth Health and Education Programs
HIFY provides one program with various program activities: RUN (Risk: Understanding & Navigate) - Building on the strong history of youth-centered HIV and substance abuse prevention, HIFY provides a dynamic, locally-appropriate sexual health education and substance abuse prevention program for high school age youth. This program helps teens navigate sexual health and substance use issues and encourages youth to increase their knowledge and access to local programs and services. After School Oakland Program - HIFY is serving as the lead after-school agency at McClymonds high school, supporting academic, enrichment, and leadership programming in West Oakland. This includes collaborating with Youth and Family Opportunities from Alameda County. This project provides family engagement work at the McClymonds Youth & Family Center, and operating the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, an innovative technology learning lab. Young Mens Health - The Young Mens Health Groups, small, safe engaging groups to support young men to address behavioral health and wellbeing concerns; project focus on engaging young men in San Francisco high schools, significantly improve participants sense of connection to the school community and their respect for others.
