Residential Program for Teen Girls
The Residential Program: provides teen girls who have suffered neglect, abuse, and emotional derailment with safe homes, counseling, and educational services. Our five residential homes provide girls ages 13 to 18 with short-term (6 to 12 months) placement while we help prepare them for reunification with their families, long-term placement with a caring foster family, or emancipation from the foster care system. This year 128 teenage girls were placed in our program.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2016 – Jun 30, 2017Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3.6MFoster Care and Adoption Placement Program
Foster Care and Adoption Placement Program places children ages 0 to 18 with caring foster and adoptive families and provides intensive support to families and children. Our social workers visit families each week and families have access to our licensed marriage and family therapists, ensuring a successful foster care or adoption experience for both child and family. This year, 265 children received placement services from 66 foster care professionals, including Intake Coordinators and Social Workers, 31 children were adopted.Intensive Treatment Foster Care ("IFTC") provides an alternative to higher level group homes for seriously emotionally disturbed children. There is only one foster child placed in an intensive treatment foster care home at a time, thus, the foster parents are able to focus more on the child. IFTC foster parents are specially trained, and are part of the treatment team. The team also includes a therapist, a foster care social worker and an in-home support counselor who visit the home regularly and offers counseling, emotional support, mentoring and model skills for both the foster child and the foster parent.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2016 – Jun 30, 2017Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3.2MMental Health Program Services
The Mental Health Program includes Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), which provides behavior modeling, structure and support, and immediate, frequent, one-to-one behavior interventions which assist the child/youth in engaging in appropriate activities. Mental Health Services, another component of the Mental Health Program, includes outpatient services for adolescents. Outpatient services give RCS the ability to help transition the client back home, into public school, and the community. Both programs are funded through a contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. This year we served 219 clients in our program.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2016 – Jun 30, 2017Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.3M
