Iyengar Yoga Education and Community Support
IYNAUS operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, educating others about the art, science, and philosophy of yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. IYNAUS hosted over 12 online educational events for members and practitioners of other yoga methods. We received over 2,000 registrations to attended these events. Topics included: 1)IYNAUS 3rd COAST to COAST, 2)Yoga Equity Symposium with Linda Villarosa discussing her book, Under the Skin 3) Interactive Sessions with Prashant Iyengar, a series of online sessions covering the philosophy of teaching yoga 4)Dynamics of Iyengar Yoga with Gulnaaz Dashti, 5)Yoga Equity Workshop focused on creating inclusive yoga environments 6)A month-long celebration in December 2024 honoring Geeta Iyengars life and contributions to Iyengar Yoga The 2024 Assessment cycle provided 38 candidates the opportunity to qualify for a teaching credential that is awarded by RIMYI as set out in the IYNAUS Assessment Manual. Over 30 senior teachers volunteered to assess the candidates.
