    CDAIA PRINTED MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORIES OF ALL DISTRICT ATTORNEY INVESTIGATORS IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. WE CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN A PUBLIC WEBSITE THAT INCLUDES DA INVESTIGATOR RELATED INFORMATION, JOB POSTINGS, AND MAINTAIN A MEMBER'S ONLY SITE THAT HAS TRAINING BULLETINS AND LEGAL UPDATES RELATED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PUBLISHED FOUR QUARTERLY NEWSLETTERS DISCUSSING NEWS RELATED TO DISTRICT ATTORNEY OFFICES FROM ALL OVER THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AS WELL AS INFORMATION DISCUSSED AT OUR BOARD MEETINGS. CDAIA ALSO PROVIDES VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS EACH YEAR TO GRADUATING SENIORS SO THEY CAN ATTEND COLLEGE.

    Program Service 1: Annual Training ConferenceCDAIA hosts an annual statewide Training Conference each September to provide professional development, training, and networking opportunities for District Attorney Investigators and allied law enforcement professionals. The conference includes presentations from subject matter experts, case studies, and sessions tailored to the evolving needs of investigative personnel. The 2023 conference featured expert-led sessions on critical investigative topics, including: Victimology and Domestic Homicide The Kristin Smart Trial Civil Cannabis Investigations High-Tech Trial Exhibits Science-Based Interviewing Employer Fraud And additional training tracks relevant to field operations and courtroom proceduresMeasurements: Conference held annually during the week of Labor Day Approximately 210 attendees participated in the 2023 conference Registration fee: $500 early bird / $550 after July 17 Sessions led by professionals from across the state, including DA offices and subject-matter experts

    Program Service 4: Scholarship ProgramCDAIA administers an annual scholarship program to support the qualified dependents of paying members in pursuing higher education. Scholarships are awarded based on criteria established by the Association and are funded through proceeds from the annual golf tournament, conference raffles, and other fundraising efforts held during the annual training conference.Measurements: 12 scholarships awarded in 2023 Total amount awarded: $10,000
