The Mecox Bay Conservancy was incorporated for following purposes. To restore the water quality of Mecox Bay in Water Mill, New York. To increase public awareness of the water quality issues affecting Mecox Bay and its tributaries. To develop and raise funds for remediation projects relating to Mecox Bay and its watershed. To protect and preserve Mecox Bay and the surrounding environment for future generations. To become a model for the remediation of other polluted bodies of water in Suffolk County.
