In 2024, Breaking Barriers Foundation awarded six scholarships to African students pursuing STEM and nursing degrees, launched a mentorship program connecting students to professionals in their fields, and hosted community outreach events to raise awareness about educational opportunities. The organization also collaborated with local colleges, including Edmonds and Everett Community College, to introduce underrepresented students to informatics and healthcare career paths. These efforts supported our mission of advancing educational equity for African and Black students in Washington.
