A generous donation was provided by a partner non-profit for our group to hold 2 events this past fall. They were the winter Solstice and our first annual winter retreat. The purpose of both was to re-establish who we are and what we provide for our members. Both events were potlucks at facitilites that did not charge fees. Both events covered outdoors activities, including litter clean ups, how to safely build and put out fires, and other environmental education programming. There is also children activities that included story time, animal identification, and social, emotional learning.
