  • Investors Circle Network Development

    1. Network Formation and Maintenance: Investors Circle is growing a network of early-stage funders and advisors (including individual angel investors, family offices, small venture funds, CDFIs, and small foundations). ? In 2024 Investors Circle (IC) grew from only 4 legacy lifetime members to a total of 33 total members at the end of 2024. ? Brought on a total of 8 donors (not counting dozens of those that made very small ?donations? to attend certain live IC gatherings) ? Brought on 2 paid IC sponsors and over a dozen in-kind sponsors. ? Were able to transition a small volunteer staff to a modestly paid contract parttime staff team, including our Executive Director/President, with several additional volunteer contributors of their time and talent to the work of IC.

  • Entrepreneur Connection Forum

    2. Connection Forum: We connect these funders/advisors to entrepreneurs via various virtual and in-person meetings and educational offerings. ? In 2024 Investors Circle (IC) provided a platform for 26 companies and their entrepreneur founders to present their stories and impact investment opportunities for potential funding by angel investors at our meetings in 2024, a portion of which obtained funding from the independent investor parties that attend our virtual national meetings. Investors Circle provided a platform for these companies without any monetary fee to them to present at our virtual events, because we feel that these companies should preserve their available capital for other uses and we do this because we are a non-profit and have other ways to support our work financially. In addition IC community members have contributed a significant (but unmeasured) amount of time and talent to coach and otherwise help these start-up companies and their leaders in 2024. ? 118 people have attended our regular national monthly meetings in 2024, from June when we held our first meeting as an independent organization through December, of which 36 were presenting company people or non-sponsor speakers. ? We expanded the IC working groups by adding the Investors Circle Cleantech Circle (ICCC), which the IC board approved to move forward with at the end of 2024 as part of our work in 2025. The ICCC effort helps IC broaden our community outreach without requiring investor commitments from our group alone (in fact, it broadens potential investor commitments to dozens of investor groups) ? Investor and entrepreneur education is part of IC?s work. In 2024 we had 5 special speakers at several of our regular monthly meetings. ? In addition, IC has sponsored or co-sponsored quarterly or more frequent live meetings providing education and community networking relating to impact investment. Locations in 2024 included New York City, San Francisco California and Denver, Colorado.
