CRITICAL TO WECA'S MISSION IS INITIATING AND INVESTING IN PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT IMPROVE TEACHER RETENTION, GROW THE EDUCATION LEVEL OF THE EARLY CHILDHOOD WORKFORCE, AND INCREASE THE AVERAGE WAGE FOR THE CHILD CARE WORKFORCE THROUGH SKILL DEVELOPMENT, PROFESSIONAL MENTORING AND LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY. WECA'S DIVERSE MEMBERS MODEL EXCELLENCE THROUGH THEIR INDIVIDUAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS, ADVOCACY EFFORTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FIELD. WECA IS THE WISCONSIN AFFILIATE OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN (NAEYC).
