VER International responded to the COVID-19 economic crisis and hurricanes by participating in relief work by providing inflatable mattresses, food, drinking water, and donations to shelters. Student sponsorship packs. Before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down in-person classes, 205 students in seven different communities received backpacks of supplies and uniforms. Dropout rates in rural Honduras are high and lead to child labor and early marriage. Hurricane Relief Fund. The services provided are similar to those that were provided for COVID-19 relief. When Hurricane Ita came through Honduras in Q4 2020, it left many people in the communities that VER International supports homeless and destitute.
