Programs
Program 1 [2020]
Our YMCA supports children and their families at every stage - from our infant and toddler programs starting at age 8 weeks; to our high-quality early education programs; to afterschool and camps; to counselors in training programs which encourage teenagers to be leaders and role models. In 2020, the Y was critical in supporting families during the pandemic by providing child care for essential workers and working with schools to provide child care during remote learning days when parents needed to work.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$4.6MProgram 2 [2020]
HEALTHY LIVING: The Y believes that being healthy means more than simply being physically active - it's about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. We are a place where people come to work toward that balance. Our aquatics program provides vital water safety classes and swim lessons for kids and adults, and adapted exercise for those with disabilities or in rehabilitation. 2020 brought new and creative ways to engage our members while staying safe: virtual fitness classes, outdoor hikes, special opportunities to use the pools, and personalized swim lessons. We experienced dramatic growth in membership enrollment during the first several months of 2020. Unfortunately, we shut down our facility March 16. We re-opened in June and have been working to regain membership ever since.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.2MProgram 3 [2020]
The Y's community-based approach fosters positive socialization amongst all age groups, races, and religions. It is a place where people can find common ground and become part of a community. The Y continues to work towards being a place where "everyone belongs" by prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion and justice work. In 2020, we focused efforts internally to review our procedures and policies and provide DEI training opportunities for staff. The Y is committed to making our programs accessible to all: last year, we provided more than $375,000 in financial assistance across all of our programs.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$356.8K
