Junior Achievement Company Program (JACP)
Our capstone Junior Achievement Company Program (JACP) provides a transformational high school entrepreneurship experience. Recruited students team up to collaboratively identify a community need, create a product or service to address that need, form a company, sell stock, and manage sales, marketing, finance, supply chain and more—all on a journey toward a successful business venture. JACP is facilitated by local corporate and community volunteer mentors representing a range of different industries and backgrounds. Connection to mentors facilitates relationships that are invaluable to students’ perceptions of their own capabilities and contributes to their belief that they can address today’s challenges through their own finance and business skills. Our volunteer-mentor delivery model distinguishes us as we bring the real world to students and enhance curriculum via our network of volunteers with diverse business and entrepreneurial backgrounds.
