AND, WHILE WE REMAIN FOCUSED ON PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY AND COST EFFECTIVE SHARING, WE RECENTLY INITIATED A MAJOR FOCUS ON WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AIMED AT ASSISTING THE MEMBER LIBRARIES IN TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR STAFFS. IN JULY 2015, BLC BECAME THE ADMINISTRATIVE HOST AND FISCAL AGENT FOR THE EASTERN ACADEMIC SCHOLARS' TRUST (EAST) PROJECT, A SHARED PRINT PROGRAM INVOLVING OVER 40 LIBRARIES IN THE EASTERN US WHOSE MISSION IS TO PROTECT THE PRINT SCHOLARLY RECORD.
