Family Services includes our Family Stabilization and Support & Parent Mentor Services, Intensive Foster Care, Family Visitation, and Adoption Services programs. Family Stabilization and Support & Parent Mentor Services (FSS & PMS) is designed to support intact families and prevent out-of-home placement of children. We utilize in-home support from a highly-qualified CSR social workers and skilled parent mentors to mitigate the factors that contribute to abuse or neglect. FSS & PMS is passionate about engaging “hard to reach” families and supporting their multiple and complex challenges. Children’s Services of Roxbury is committed to providing support and services that build on the strengths of the biological family system, address possible risks, and prevent out-of-family placements. However, in situations where this is not possible, CSR’s Intensive Foster Care Program works to place children in stable, loving, nurturing foster homes. Our goal is to find both short-term and long-term placements for at-risk children and youth with a broad range of emotional, physical and developmental special needs. Reunification with the child’s biological family is our goal. When that is not feasible, foster care providers and staff work together to formulate an alternate plan for permanency such as kinship care, guardianship, or adoption. Children’s Services of Roxbury’s Family Visitation Program provides safe, neutral, and professional locations for visits for low-income families in the Greater Boston area. The supervised or un-supervised visits between the children and their custodial or non-custodial parents are conducted based on the parameters designated by the court order. Trained staff supervise each visit and remain neutral at all times while facilitating the visitation.GeographiesMassachusetts, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedFamily counseling,In-home aid and personal assistance,Parent education,Single parent support,Adolescent parenting,Adoption,Child development,Foster care,Adult peer mentoring,Aging out of foster careAdults,Children and youth,Caregivers,Families,Non-adult children,Parents764–
