Nativity preparatory school New Bedford (NPNB), founded in 2000, completed its ten-year re-accreditation through the New England association of schools and colleges (NEAS&C) in 2015. Students are accepted into grade 5 or 6 on full scholarship through grade 8, with an average total enrollment of 60 students and about eight classroom teachers. Classroom teachers typically stay for two years, starting with a two-year commitment through the national service program, AmeriCorps. Currently, one teacher on staff graduated from NPNB in grade 8.

NPNB's grant-funded alumni support program prepares eighth graders for high school, provides ongoing check-ins throughout their high school years, and offers guidance for college or career decisions. Nativity alumni have a 98% high school graduation rate, 80% are accepted into college, and 20% enter the workforce.
