Recreational Soccer: Youth Athletics
Sterling Community Center Soccer is a recreational league for all children and abilities. Focused on teamwork and having fun, we do not keep records or standings for our games. Practices are once a week during weekdays; games are 1-2 times a weekend. Practices take place throughout Stratford and games take place on Wooster Field. Click here for more information on the league! Jerseys are provided, and Shin guards are required. The Sterling Community Center Resource Connection Program is a comprehensive, basic needs assistance program. It provides a wide range of services to individuals and families including food, diapers, pet foods, personal care items, and social services support. The Program started in 1992 as a small food pantry with a single cabinet and refrigerator. Sterling Advanced Futbol Club adds a premier competitive program to the legacy of Sterling House Soccer. This club will provide an advanced level of training and competition to grow and strengthen the game of soccer in Stratford and the greater Bridgeport region. This club will develop and inspire young soccer players of all ages and backgrounds to bring their best to the game in all aspects; fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and game IQ.
