The Connecticut Community Foundation accepts proposals for consideration in several issue areas and welcomes new groups to reach out before applying. This helps ensure fit and improves the chances of a successful proposal. Organizations are new to the Foundation and haven't received a CCF grant previously are required to schedule a brief in-person meeting in advance of submitting an application.

Submission deadlines
The Foundation has two major grant rounds each year (with deadlines in March & September). Several rolling grant opportunities are available. A small number of grant opportunities each year (typically 1–2) are by invitation only and represent a very small portion of the foundation's competitive grantmaking. All grant deadlines are listed here: https://conncf.org/supporting-nonprofits/apply-for-a-grant/
