Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement provides high-quality after-school & summer programs for 1,000 K-12 students, facilitates workforce development initiatives that equip young people with the skills and experience necessary for professional success, and offers families multi-generational services to strengthen family and community ties. In the past 3 years, we have launched a Pregnancy and New Parent Program to improve health outcomes for low-income new mothers and infants, and a Family Enrichment Center in partnership with NYC’s Administration for Children's Services to provide expanded services to Astoria families. We also offer the Riis Academy Teen Program, designed to foster the academic and social-emotional development of youth grades 9-12 and to promote college and career readiness.Geographies10-25 41st Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedCommunity and economic development,Education,Human servicesChildren and youth1K–Immigrant Services
