The Organization acquires and manages land and improvements and funds to protect and rehabilitate equine animals. These facilities are maintained to care for animals that have been retired from racing, other activities or have been injured. These equine activities are conducted through employees and agents. Akindale Rehabilitation & Land Conservation Fund accepts donated equine and also purchases equine and works to heal these equine and place them with responsible individuals who pay adoption fees to the organization. The equine is placed for adoption under leases that allow the Organization to recover the equine if they are mistreated.
