The Show-Me Institute commissioned and published one (1) study by an outside scholar, and staff of the Institute researched and wrote eight (8) studies, twenty-four (24) commentaries and 166 blog posts, related to various topics including education, health care, state taxes, and Missouri's economic growth. In and throughout Missouri, the Show-Me Institute hosted virtual lectures, participated in public events and presentations either in-person or through video conferencing, and appeared in numerous media outlets, i.e., radio and television, to present its research findings to local and state nonprofit, legislative, media, and citizen groups. With respect to lectures and seminars, the Institute sponsored or co-sponsored, eight (8) virtual town halls with noted scholars, all opened to the public and one (1) virtual town hall with Institute staff, also opened to the public. Prior to the pandemic, the Institute sponsored two (2) in-person breakfast forums, one in St. Louis and one in Kansas City.
