Youth Fitness and Recreation Programs
FITNESS, RECREATIONAL & COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS, MOVEMENT & MILESTONES, PRESCHOOL, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, and OPEN GYMS FITNESS AFTER-SCHOOL & SUMMER PROGRAMS Fitness supports exercise and movement. It is the best natural drug that a child can ever use for feeling good. Through teaching the importance of daily activity and encouragement, children are on the right path to becoming healthier and confident. Continued on Schedule O...SOAR (Students of All Abilities Respected) is a school-age childcare after school program provided in two location TNT Main and TNT South. Enrollments are up to 60 children receiving no less than 60 minutes of physical activity in addition to a healthy snack and/or meals in these programs. Emphasis is on movement, education-based activities. No Bummer Summer is a school-age childcare program with weekly and themed activities throughout the summer for up to 60 children. Sixty participants experience an array of activities to challenge them mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally: with the end goal of building character, increasing confidence, and engaging in a healthy lifestyle to include activities throughout our community. School's Out Day Camp is a school-age childcare program which is open to 40 campers to participate in TNT's engaging fitness programs when there is a day off during the school year. This service is located in both TNT Main and TNT South. We inspire, educate, and keep each child active which markets to exposing children to other year-round programs to keeping each child active and productive in movement. MOVEMENT & MILESTONES, PRESCHOOL, TOTS TUMBLE TIME, MOBILE, & SCHOOL AGE RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS & NINJA Baby, Preschool, Mobile, and School Age, gymnastics and ninja classes all fall in line with unlocking potential through movement. These classes are designed to be progressive through exercise and physical activity, children can meet their full potential while participating in these progressive programs. Encouraging children while being a positive influence drives our entire staff to help make a difference in children's lives. Over 600 Preschool age children comprise the population in this program. Tots Tumble Time serves 150+ children weekly and provides the same instruction, except offsite. Gymnastics is the foundation of human movement, and the benefits are extraordinary. School Age gymnastics serves 360+ school age boys and girls who safely learn fundamental skills and progressions on traditional gymnastics equipment. Students advance through levels achieved with skill mastery. Ninja Fitness classes can test every individual's skill in the craze that's sweeping the nation, as they unlock their ninja potential! Children use obstacles and circuit-based activities to increase endurance, strength, flexibility, balance and coordination while building confidence. Children are challenged by scaling the rock wall, navigating the ninja obstacle course, and attempting to conquer TNT's very own warped wall! 150 children participate on a weekly basis. Baby classes center on getting the benefits of movement into the hands of parents. We associate the baby's developmental age milestone with the movement-based curriculum. This program is the introduction to a seamless relationship with fitness movement and mentoring positive parent interaction as the child progresses all the way to age 4 and beyond. BIRTHDAY PARTIES & OPEN GYMS Birthday Parties: Having a birthday is the most special time in a child's life. Over 70 parties are celebrated throughout the year! TNT birthday parties are memorable experiences. The 1.5 hours include a fun-filled setting that aligns with our mission--keeping children active! Multiple activity stations make up the hour-long party that introduces and markets our gymnastics and fitness classes. Open Gyms: Open gym time provides program exposure for children which aligns with our mission to keep all children of all abilities active. Open gyms promote collaboration with local and surrounding schools celebrating educational milestones achieved throughout the year. Over 1,600 children participate annually. Other notable open gyms are hosted with local agencies in the community by opening their doors for their participants to come to TNT as another alternative for fitness-based programs. Open gyms introduce and market our gymnastics and fitness classes. COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS PROGRAM Competitive gymnastics and cheer programs are governed by USAG and USASF organizations that serve 110 athletes. USA Junior Olympic Girls, and Xcel Team gymnastics have collectively increased. USA Team athletes strive for excellence at TNT in the sport of gymnastics while achieving life-long health, perseverance, and total well-being skills. Team is a year-round program. This program provides multiple programs from a feeder program to build levels. All athletes are encouraged and coached to improve their individual skill level throughout the year. Gymnastics is the only sport that works the total body including strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and aerobic development that travels with you for a lifetime. Statistics show us a healthier lifestyle is important--now more than ever.ADULT FITNESS & SPECIAL NEEDS ADULT FITNESS Parkinson's Performance Boxing program gives individuals diagnosed with the disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum. Parkinson's causes a loss in many of the same elements that boxer's condition to improve. Among them are balance, muscular endurance, footwork and hand-eye coordination. Published medical research has shown that forced, intense exercise can reduce, reverse, and delay Parkinson's symptoms! This program is an onsite and virtually offsite program to home-based individuals. No Limits Fitness, an adult program, collaborates with multiple agencies to allow its clients and providers an opportunity to be physically active on a weekly basis. A population that continues to be underserved in our community includes adults of all ages with special needs. The special needs population in our communities continue to struggle to identify opportunities that provide for growth, learning, physical activity, and social integration in an environment that recognizes their uniqueness. TNT's adult fitness experience offers a great opportunity for these individuals to enjoy an active lifestyle. SPECIAL NEEDS The Special Needs program is a fitness program adapted for children so all individuals of all abilities can be active. The program also serves over 36 schools utilizing the TNT facility on a weekly basis. This program is in partnership with local and outlying rural schools. Children with multiple physical, cognitive, emotional, and social barriers now have physical activity outlets to serve their needs. TNT also provides inclusive settings for children with special needs in their everyday programming. With all programs at TNT, children with special needs are integrated into programs where the curriculum is modified; care providers assist them, or the children participate on their own. One-on-ones and small group type settings are available making TNT an organization that helps individuals "unlock their potential". TNT has multiple partnerships - NDSU, MSUM, Concordia, University of Mary Occupational Therapy, and the University of Jamestown (ND) Physical Therapy program. These valuable partnerships provide case study and program assessment, onsite experiential learning for the college-aged students, and methods for TNT to monitor and track outcomes. EXPLORER ACADEMYIn partnership with Fargo Public Schools (FPS), TNT South, is designed and operates the first sensory gym of its kind, in a Public-School setting. FPS contracts TNT to provide a movement educator specializing in gymnastics-based movement and an Occupational Therapist. By utilizing the unique equipment of the sensory gym: trampolines, foam pit, sensory rigs, swings, zip lines, etc. TNT can reach each student's specific needs. The combination of skilled personnel and restrictive environment will lead to curriculum that can be modified and adapted to create emotion, build emotional awareness, and provide tools for the management of emotion. FUNDRAISING EVENTS, SPONSORSHIPS, & OPERATIONSFundraising events and Sponsorships lend support for the Program operations. TNT hosts several events throughout the year that provide awareness to those we serve, volunteer engagement, and community collaboration with other agencies.TNT has four annual fundraising events: TNT's Winter Challenge which is a Women's USA Gymnastics/Xcel programs where its athletes compete with gymnastics clubs around the tri-state area MN, SD, and ND. This event supports the competitive program. Continued on Schedule O..."TNT Gala" a community fundraiser that hosts a live auction event to promote the mission of 'unlocking potential through movement and supports the ABLE In School online Physical Education curriculum that is offered to public schools. This product allows TNT to extend their mission outside its community to support physical education teachers in adapting to include individuals with special needs and build relationships between students in general education and special needs.TNT's ABLE Games are an all-inclusive functional fitness competition that celebrates all abilities, from the highly skilled athlete to the individual with special needs competing side-by-side. There are no barriers to competition. This competition brings awareness to ability and showcases to our attendees, sponsors, and educators their abilities far exceed expectations. ABLE Games is part of the ABLE In School curriculum and for the first time in the history of high school sports, children with and without special needs get to compete representing their school.In 2021, TNT hosted the Inaugural ABLE Games, an inclusive functional fitness competition to support all abilities. A vision of Fargo native, Connor McGovern and TNT. This inclusive, functional fitness competition was the first of its kind! Connor and his illustrious group of CrossFit world-wide athletes, Mat Fraser, Sam & Jenn Dancer, Matt O'Keefe, friends and family which provided an energy and awareness that cannot be compared. With Connor's support the event has grown significantly and is now being implemented into schools in ND & MN.Giving Hearts Day, a 24-hour on-line fundraising event where community partners, team members and families come to support this event to raise dollars for a specific program, designated piece of equipment, or to support all programs. A community-wide event is hosted at TNT to bring others to participate and be involved in our mission, movement!This area of TNT's operation is growing and markets to generate other streams of income that do not conflict with other TNT programming but enhances our vision and mission by reaching out to the community. TNT created annual sponsorships to support each fundraising event. One program design supports an annual Break the Barriers Partners. 'Break the Barriers' Partner Program is composed of thriving businesses in our community. Their gracious investments directly impact programs to continue to provide opportunities for children and individuals of all abilities to unlock their potential through movement. This sponsorship supports operations.In 2014, TNT Kid's Fitness initiated a capital campaign to expand space. This space allowed TNT to reach capacity by serving over 2,000 individuals weekly, 16 programs, 51 collaborations and onsite partners, the Anne Carlsen Center and Learn 'n Move childcare. The expansion focused on programs and services for children and adults with special needs thus impacting an under-served population that is desperately wanting more opportunities.Through the years TNT has received multiple achievements which include 2015 Chamber Choice Non-Profit of the Year, 2015 Women of the Year in the category of Advocating for Equality and 2017, 2018, 2019 Top 4 Fundraiser in Giving Hearts Day event, 2021-2024 "Locals Love Us" in the category of Best in Tumbling and Gymnastics. 2022 Chamber People's Choice Award.
