Application format and required materials
APPLICATIONS ARE SENT IN DUPLICATE VIA POSTAL MAIL AND INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:A PROGRAM NARRATIVE (DETAILED ON THE APPLICATION), A DETAILED BUDGET FOR PROJECT/PROGRAM WHICH ORGANIZATION IS SEEKING FUNDING, A COPY OF PREVIOUS AND CURRENT YEAR BUDGETS, A COPY OF IRS DETERMINATION LETTER OF TAX-EXEMPT STATUS, COPY OF PRIOR YEAR'S 990, A CERTIFIED COPY OF AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE MOST RECENT FISCAL YEAR, A LIST OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THEIR AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS, A RESUME' OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND OTHER SENIOR MEMBERS, AND A COPY OF THE MOST RECENT ANNUAL REPORT.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE TAX-EXEMPT STATUS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, AND MUST BE PHYSICALLY LOCATED IN THE CITY, TOWN OR REGION WHERE PENN ENTERTAINMENT HAS A BUSINESS INTEREST. THE FOUNDATION DOES NOT FUND OPERATING EXPENSES, ENDOWMENTS, INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIPS, LOANS OR DEFICITS. THE FOUNDATION WILL NOT FUND RELIGIOUS OR POLITICAL ACTIVITIES OR FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES.
