Organizational Support and Capacity Building
Colaborativa La Milpa Provided ongoing organizational coaching, fiscal sponsorship, bookkeeping/fiscal oversight, grants management, legal compliance, human resources, Board of Directors coordination, and managing related administrative infrastructure to CLM member organizations. Built collective capacity through member-requested computer classes, popular education, workshops, and training for trauma-informed work and building resilience. Completed a 3-year strategic plan with CLM members. Hired a Director of Organizational Development and Popular Education to work closely with CLM members. PODER Emma Community Ownership - 273 Emma and Erwin residents joined the PODER Emma membership program - 59 units of permanently affordable cooperative housing in Cooperative Housing Network - 4 worker-owned cooperatives that provide 22 full-time living wage jobs received technical support as part of Worker-Owned Cooperative Network - Supported $2,979,195 in total value of community cooperatively owned assets . El Telar: Shared Resources for Home Childcare -24 members of the bilingual Early Childhood Education (ECE) Cooperative Network -Refined our intake process -12 monthly sessions of capacity building and peer support for 35 childcare providers -Began a Spanish literacy program -Developed a substitute care provider network - 5 visiting enrichment teachers - 8 providers have demonstrated enhanced skills hrough being hired by more formal and licensed childcare institutions or providing more structured set up in their home-based center. All providing mentionship to others in the network.
