Guidestone developed the following programs to fulfill it's exempt purpose;Colorado Land Link helps next generation farmers and ranchers find access to land and other resources needed to launch successful agricultural businesses.Farm to school supports the growing, procurement and capacity for building healthy, local foods in district food service programs and education integration in multiple disciplines accross district curriculum.Farmhands education program fosters community, family and youth farm and ranch experiences as well as internship and apprenticeship opportunities for next generation farmers, ranchers and educators.Hutchinson Homestead and Learning Center - Guidestone operates the historic Hutchinson Homestead and Learning Center hosting programs for youth and community and gives the opportunity to learn about the history of local agriculture through the visitor center and tours of the historic site.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$319.4KFarm to School and Agricultural Education
EDUCATIONThe Farm to School Program hosted 84 class lessons/field trips for 1,480 contact hours, and reached 988 studentsFarmhands Education hosted 109 summer garden, farm and ranch programs: 1022 field hoursAg Economics unit taught to 39 high school studentsProvided $4,250 in program scholarshipsFOOD PRODUCTIONGrew over 6500 pounds of produce for the Salida School District and Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC), a Farm Stand and Youth Farmers Market.Distributed over 1600 plants at our Spring Plant Sale to support community members in growing their own food.PRODUCER OUTREACHNew 3 year USDA grant received for beginning rancher and farmers across Colorado.1 on 1 support to 26 new producers4 new regional partners14 new land access opportunities50 Land Access workshop attendeesProvided 1200 people, over 22 Colorado counties agricultural business and resource support.
