Acquisition and stewardship of conservation easements and land acquired for ownership. To educate and inform the community about conservation and preservation.In 2022, LLT was given an extraordinary gift of 2.6 acres of property with a 2000 sq ft building on it. The property, at 28 Russell Street, is within walking distance of Litchfield's town center. The donor of the property was Peter Aziz. The building, the original town train station, will gut renovated and converted into a series of offices for five local non-profits organizations, including the LLT. Work is well underway to make this vision a reality by the end of 2023.
