Wildlife Conservation Policy Advocacy
Wildlife conservation policy advocacy: ongoing proactive and defensive campaigns ensuring Idaho maintains and enhances policies that benefit fish and wildlife, habitat, and hunting and fishing heritage. Public land stewardship: proactive and defensive campaigns that promote management prescriptions and conservation initiatives to benefit wildlife and habitat while balancing public access and responsible use. IWF employs grassroots strategies to engage and mobilize local communities, hunters, anglers, and supporters of wildlife conservation to speak up and guide management by public interest agencies. IWF serves on several officially recognized public land collaboratives and private coalitions to assess the needs of public forests, rangelands and water bodies, identify solutions to complex problems, and implement strategies.
