Nexus Recovery Center provides a gender-specific, trauma-informed continuum of care that not only addresses a woman's substance use disorder, but also the factors causing it and its consequences. In fiscal year 2022, Nexus provided residential services to 1,814 adult clients and 184 of their accompanying children, as well as 419 outpatient clients. Of the women we served, 98% were low-income, 38% identified as persons of color, 23% were homeless at the time of admission, and 83% had some involvement in the justice system. The number of clients may be duplicated: i.e., clients often have a treatment step-down and sometimes have their treatment stepped-up so they can be counted in both residential and outpatient program types.
