public spay/neuter services: Because of our belief that spaying or neutering is one of the main ways to reduce the number of euthanized animals, SICSA alters all animals prior to adoptions. We also offer a reduced cost spay/neuter program for low to moderate income pet owners and also a reduced cost program for those spaying or neutering strays. SICSA altered 2,855 animals in 2020 in our public spay/neuter program.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$761.2KProgram 3 [2020]
Humane Education & Intake Diversion Services In addition to spaying and neutering, we believe that humane education also helps reduce the number of euthanized animals. Because of COVID, SICSA was unable to offer Camp SICSA - Humane Education for schools, scouts and youth groups during 2020 . These two hour camps available for Pre-K to 8th grade children have been reinstated for 2021.The 2020 goal of the SICSA Help Center is to support people in crisis or challenging circumstances with resources for the pets centered in their lives. The program addresses barriers related to pets which might keep the humans from meeting their own basic needs and/or receiving critical care. This includes resources such as pet food and supplies, as well as behavioral and veterinary support. In 2020, this program sucessfully assisted 779 animals from being released to shelter care.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$246.2K
