United Way Community Impact Initiatives
More than a fundraiser, United Way of Williamson County works locally to change lives and create pathways for a better life for everyone who lives here. A multi-faceted approach, focused on lasting solutions, brings together the community to positively impact children, families and seniors. We are working to make it easier for everyone to have a good quality of life; a good education which is essential to getting a good job with health benefits, an income that can cover today's needs and save for tomorrow strengthens the financial stability of a family, and good health so children can succeed in school and adults at work. The first approach to this work involves providing financial support to partner programs that deliver measurable progress so that individuals and families can improve their quality of life. through a second approach, United Way of Williamson County engages other community partners (government, education, nonprofit businesses, individuals) in collaborative work aimed at removing obstacles and creating more pathways to a better life. Initial collaborative work has resulted in the creation and management of strategic programs that offer more free tax preparation, financial literacy classes, free books for economically disadvantaged preschoolers, and more adult mentors connected to at-risk students.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2020 – Jun 30, 2021Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$668.1K
