2020 Program Service AccomplishmentsIn 2020, CARE for AIDS operated 70 centers in urban slum communities throughout East Africa. These communities were selected due to a high prevalence and transmission rate of HIV/AIDS. In 2020, we graduated 2,800 clients who represented 7,132 dependent children who are no longer at risk of being orphaned. Over 700 people made first-time decisions of faith. At year end 2020, CARE for AIDS had a total of 20,426 clients, who have graduated from the program, representing 64,974 dependent children who are now longer at risk of being orphaned. In 2023, untold, through its sister organizations in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, operated in 104 centers in urban informal settlements throughout East Africa. These communities were selected due to a high prevalence and transmission rate of HIV/AIDS. In 2023, we graduated 7,686 clients (39,506 since inception) who represented 21,008 dependent children (119,643 since inception) who are no longer at risk of being orphaned. Over 2,150 people (9,548 since inception) made first-time decisions of faith.
