Project Bike Tech in Schools
Bike Tech in School: (1) Project Bike Tech (PBT) has served more than 3000 students over the last 15 years. In 2022, PBT expanded in 3 new states, for a total of 12 states and added 8 new schools to reach approximately 1000 students each year. (2) The PBT in schools program provides the curriculum to better prepare students with career technical education, pathways, and content. PBT continualy improves the course content to help "make" students job-ready in the bicycle industry and in other careers where an understanding of engineer and mathematics is essential to career development. (3)PBT has successfully established and maintained bicycle education programs for students in Santa Cruz County CA schools and 4 new schools (Moab UT, St.Paul MN, Lyndon VT,and Summit CO). The program offers students CTE course of study to help prepare them for college and their future career while also exposing them to a positive bicycle culture and the ideas for community stewardship (for example, share the road knowledge and trail building skills). PBT advocates green careers.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$465.4KBike Tech Curriculum Expansion
